VR-Adapter

For example crank- and camshaft sensors are usually VR-type, and also some speed and ABS/ wheel sensors are VR-type.
You can use VR-adapter to get RPM-signal directly from engines crank-sensor.

VR-Adapter converts Variable Reluctance Sensor output (variable frequency, variable amplitude wave form) signal to common 0-5V digital/ square-wave signal to be suitable for RaceDAC digital inputs.

Adapter has two separate channels.
Its is enclosed to water tight heat shrink wrapping.
The size is about 15x35x10mm (plus wires; 100...150mm)

Supply power max.: 5.5 VDC (use RaceDAC +5V power output)
Input channels min.: 0.2 Vrms 0..5 kHz and 1 Vrms 5..100 kHz
Input channel max.: 250 Vrms
Input impedance: Greater than 120 kOhm
Output channels output: 0/5V

Channel 1 inputs:
+ :Green wire
- :Brown wire

Channel 2 inputs:
- :Black wire
+ :Blue wire

vradapter

Outputs:
Channel 1: Green wire
Channel 2: Blue wire

Power supply:
+5 Volts: Red wire
GND: Black wire

Note: VR-Sensor wires are signal + and signal - , not GND! So you must connect both signal wires to VR-adapter input.
